Meet Merinia | Science for Conservation: Protecting the Amazon in Peru
Amazon Conservation
Meet Merinia, a researcher at the Wayqecha Biological Station in Peru, who is using science and technology to protect the Andean bear, a keystone species of the Amazon. From camera traps to GPS collars, these tools help us understand and safeguard wildlife, showing how innovation can keep the forest, and all the life it holds, standing. These efforts are carried out by our sister organization in Peru, Conservación Amazónica – ACCA, as part of the Amazon Conservation Alliance’s mission. Be part of this impact: donate today and help us continue using science and innovation to protect the Amazon Rainforest. https://giving.amazonconservation.org/page/RiseCampaign #RiseForTheAmazonDay #AmazonConservation #AndeanBear #ScienceForConservation #ProtectTheAmazon #ConservacionAmazonica
