Northern Lights Over Greenland's Giant Icebergs | LIVE Aurora Tonight

    afarTV

Watch the Northern Lights LIVE from Ilulissat, Greenland tonight, October 26–27, 2026, as our cameras look across the Arctic Ocean and enormous icebergs beneath the northern sky. Even when solar activity is relatively calm, Greenland can deliver beautiful auroral displays. Located near 69° north and close to the auroral oval, Ilulissat is one of the world's remarkable locations for watching the aurora borealis. Tonight, NOAA forecasts relatively quiet geomagnetic conditions, with Kp values expected to remain around 1–2. Although no geomagnetic storm is anticipated, the northern lights can still appear at high latitudes, sometimes producing delicate green arcs, shimmering curtains and unexpected bursts of activity. 🌌 AURORA FORECAST — OCTOBER 26–27, 2026 • Expected activity: Kp approximate
