AfarTV
According to Philippine authorities, a moderately explosive eruption occurred at Kanlaon Volcano at 12:46 PM Philippine Standard Time on October 10, 2026. The eruption generated an ash plume that rose approximately 5–6 kilometers above the summit crater before drifting north-northeast. The plume was visually recorded by monitoring cameras at the Lower Masulog Station (VKLM) and Pandanon Station (VKPA). Alert Level 2 remains in effect over Kanlaon Volcano, indicating increasing volcanic unrest and the possibility of further eruptive activity. Kanlaon is an active stratovolcano on Negros Island in the central Philippines and is one of the country's most active volcanoes. Its summit reaches approximately 2,435 meters (7,989 feet) above sea level. This video was captured by Precious de la cruz
